ABOUT
My passion for health and wellness started at a very young age. I played high-level soccer for over twenty years and always enjoyed the comradery, competitiveness and overall joy it would bring me. Like anything, it wasn’t always easy, but during this time I realized the importance of accountability and consistency and how these two values are vital to succeeding in many aspects of my life – on or off the field. Combining my love for the sport, with the ability to help others achieve their own health goals, was something I knew I was going to pursue long-term.
In 2012, I achieved my Sports Science Diploma at Douglas College and my BCRPA personal training certification. Every year, I work to continue my education by taking courses, conducting research, while also staying on top of my own personal health and wellness goals.
Like anyone who maintains an active lifestyle, the risk of injury is always possible, and I was certainly no exception. During various hiatuses, I explored other forms of activity including weight training, running and cycling – I also went on to complete the Ride to Conquer Cancer (240km of cycling) and two half marathons (21.1km of running). Weight training is where my focus is today, but I’ve also taken an interest in hiking around my community of Port Moody, including Eagle Mountain, Bert Flynn and the Coquitlam Crunch.
